Projects

I’ve worked on a lot of stuff over the years. Some of it commercial, a lot of it personal. I have a fairly short attention span when it comes to things, I guess. In any event, here’s a breakdown of some of the more notable things I’ve done or am in the midst of building.

Sites

Prasad’s Infertility Solutions:
A Site for Dr. K Suma Prasad and her famous clinic. The site is based on static HTML/CSS and Javascript.

Prasads Genetic Solutions:
A site for the Genetics extension of Prasad’s Infertility Solutions. Again HTML/CSS + Javascript (Scriptaculous for the visual effects)

CVR College of Engineering:
A complete and comprehensive site for CVR College of Engineering, featuring almost 100+ pages of content. The sites been integrated into the Student Management System of the college. The site is driven through a CMS – Typo3 with periodically changing templates. The site content is managed by the student web committee of the college. Different students maintain different sections of content.

Ciencia:
Ciencia’08 began with the usual gusto as the students came bustling in from all over the country. A website describing the events and the schedule for the event.

QuadQube:
Our company :). Members? Me and Virat. Working on it at the moment. Still under construction. Gotta wait for Virat on this one.

Software/Applications

Student Management System:
Developed as a voluntary project at college for digitizing all the student attendance and marks records. Essentially a web application where faculty enter and manage attendance and marks online through a browser and students can view their marks and attendance online. Worked along with Arghya Basu in developing this. The whole project is essentially PHP+MySQL but, we have used CodeIgniter as the base framework. It also uses AJAX and JS validations extensively to validate the entered values. (will post the code soon after contacting Arghya)

HTTP Packet Sniffer:
Again, developed as a Mini Project at college. Partnered with Shilpa Meda on this one. This is a console based sniffer written entirely in C from scratch. It sniffs and logs all HTTP Packets in a broadcast network. Even though the project is done, we are still working on it to add more features. Currently implementing Berkley style filtering options. Next in line, a GUI probably. (Download coming soon)

Plugins/Scripts

IGZones WordPress Widget: A small widget code to display IGZones rating on the sidebar.
AoCZone.net Recorded game auto download – Greasemonkey script: Designed for personal comfort so that I don’t have to go through multiple page clicks before downloading a recorded game. It rewrites the URL of the game post so that it points directly to the game instead.

Designs

Most of my design activities were for our college’s Technical Symposium, CIENCIA. I designed the posters, banners certificates and more. Here is a montage of my designs for CIENCIA. All were designed in Photoshop at print resolutions, reduced the sizes for web viewing. If anyone want the source PSDs please contact me.
