hey sid i am still having the problem although i have tried the above all that have been mentioned. my COD player was in Local DiskC/Documents and Settings/AllUsers/StartMenu/Programs/Activision/Call of Duty World at War(TM)

the files that are in this folder is
Documentation
short cut to solo
short cut to multiplayer

i try c8 players/profiles/
whereby after that i patch the 2 things as ur link but i still cant play as the error of fileSysCheck.cfg still. Any suggestion as to what i should do please be specific as my computer knowledge is not good

CODWAW…just get this game install and got this error “Couldn’t load fileSysCheck.cfg. Make sure Call Of Duty is run from the correct folder”….pls help

I cannot even get CODwaw (purchased new) to start. Click on solo and the CD drive makes a very short little grunt then nothing. Click multi and I get an error signature message to contact Microsoft.

Seems like most of you can at least start. Me, nothing.

Any ideas?

I had the problem too that when you click New game and choose difficulty nothing happens
I just changed the cdkey to another and ran the game again and it worked

Start -> Run -> type Regedit -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Activision -> Call of duty waw -> codkey

Change it to another
And remember to type the cdkey without spaces or dashes between the numbers/letters
Then run the game again, worked for me.

everytime i start cod5 i get this fuckin error:

i downloaded COD world at war from torrent. i use vista and i have installed the gaem in my pc. but when i open the game it says that please insert the correct DVD ROM and then restart the application. can anyone help me with the solution,
